Domino 6 for iSeries: Setup Using Java GUI Fails with LNT0105

Technote Number: 1101964

Problem:
This issue was reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# DSAN5HYQHL and has been
addressed in Domino 6.5.4 and 6.0.5.

Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Domino Release 6.5.4 and 6.0.5 MR fix list
(available at http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus/):

Security
SPR# DSAN5HYQHL - This fix allows an existing ID file password to be less than
5 characters. Prior to this fix, an error would be displayed telling the user "
Length of PASSWORD is less than the minimum password length.: ". The id file
was transferred to the iSeries IFS via FTP. Ownership of the id was changed but
the error message still displayed. The Administrator could use the following
workarounds: Use a 5250 emulation session and the Domino OS/400 command,
CFGDOMSVR, to configure the Domino server. 2. Use the Domino Administrator
client to change the password on the cert and administrator id files to meet
the minimum requirement of five.

An administrator can work around this issue using either of the following
options:

1. Use a 5250 emulation session and the Domino OS/400 command, CFGDOMSVR, to
configure the Domino server.

- or -

2. Use the Domino Administrator client to change the password on the cert and
administrator id files to meet the minimum length requirement of five.
